Practical information

The oldest annual event about Internet in France is better known as the « Autrans Meetings », taken from the name of the charming village of the Vercors region which hosts the event.

At about three hours drive from Grenoble, Autrans surprises, starting by the village square. Two small bars, a hotel-restaurant, a few shops, holiday-goers dressed for cross-country skiing. Nothing to party about! Besides, haven’t you come in the first place to gain more height (the village is at an altitude of 1050m), to be informed about group work, spreading information...and to meet those who, by their actions in France, make things go ahead in the world of Internet. Add to this the sharing of your experiences, the entire concept in atmosphere both warm and studious.

The establishment that shelters the meetings, The MAEVA, is located at the brink of the village. You may choose to sleep in the rooms and studios that border the Maeva or the hotels and Bed’n’Breakfast’s establishments in the village.

The MAEVA now is home to the EPIDE of Autrans, a center of « Defense, second chance » which helps young volunteers, girls and boys, without any qualification, to make a success of their social comeback based on a course tailored to their situation. The Autrans meetings have been concerned from their very beginning with the struggle against exclusion, they are window onto the doings of the EPIDE for those young people.
